AIM ASSOCIATION

 
The first provisional statute of the Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia (AIM), founded in January 1946, a non- profit, cultural society, that has as an objective the dissemination of science and technology related to metals and others materials for engineering.
 
The evolution of the traditional materials and the development of their processes, production techniques and technologies demand a constant and valid updating on behalf of those who study and work with materials.
Scope of the Association is to foster, through its activities, the exchange of ideas and experiences among those who are interested in the development and progress of the metallic material field, with particular emphasis in the promotion of meetings for producers, users and researchers.

19th IAS Steel Conference 2013 - Ironmaking, Steelmaking, Rolling and Steel Products. This event will be held from 5th to 7th November 2013 in the City Center Convention Center, Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.

The Metallurgy and Materials Society (MetSoc) of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) is organizing the 52nd International Conference of Metallurgists hosted by MS&T13, which will be held October 27-31, 2013. This conference represents a unique opportunity for exchanging knowledge, ideas and experiences amongst professionals from industry, academia and government.

The fifth World Tribology Congress (WTC V) will be held in Torino from Sunday 8th to Friday 13th 2013. It follows the way traced by the previous editions of London (1997), Vienna (2001), Washington DC (2005) and Kyoto (2009).
The Congress consists in scientific sessions, symposia on specific topics, a wide exhibition and various collateral events. Groups of experts will have the chance to share information and get in touch with other groups.
Particular attention will be held to eco-tribology and sustainability. Nowadays these aspects are more and more important both to save energy by means of friction reduction, both to respect the environment.
